Secretariat Full Size Barrel

$299.00

One of the greatest American Racehorses of the 20th Century, Secretariat became the first American Triple Crown winner in 25 years, in 1973.  During his racing career, he won five Eclipse Awards, including Horse of the Year honors at both ages two and three. He was elected to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1974.  Few things are as recognizable in Kentucky as the iconic Secretariat silks.  A portion of the proceeds from every Secretariat item is donated to Penny Chenery’s charitable foundations.

This item is a reclaimed 55 gallon charred-oak barrel that was used in the making of Bourbon Whiskey in Kentucky.  After aging for many, many seasons in the heart of the Bluegrass, these used barrels are lightly sanded, sealed, and reinforced to insure longevity. Each barrel is hand-painted by Kentucky artisans with the iconic Secretariat Silks.
